Welcome to my Trip Reports and Pictures. These pages have lots and lots of pictures from trails I've hiked and trips I've taken. Since I moved to Utah, I've also started including trip reports for the trails I've hiked. These trip reports will give you an idea of what to expect on a particular trail, as well as some of the things I experienced on the trail. On many of the hikes I also include maps of the location of the trailhead, and GPS track logs on the hike itself. I have two types of maps on the trip reports: scrollable Google map of the trailhead location, which will help you figure out how to get to the trail, and topo maps with the GPS track log marked on the map so you can see exactly where the trail itself goes. And the GPS track logs are stored in zip files, so you'll need winzip or something to unzip them. And the files themselves are in .gpx format, which you can open with just about any GPS software, such as Mapsource, Topofusion or G7toWin. Check out this page to download the programs. Once you open the track log, you can upload it using the software to your GPS, and then you'll have the actual trail that I hiked. I even go so far on some of the topo maps to show the location each picture was actually taken...yeah, sometimes I can get nerdy...

You'll also find that most of my Trips have been hiking trips. So the Trails pictures were taken on trails that weren't very far from my house. While the Trips pictures were usually on trails that I had to make a special trip to get to. Was that confusing enough for you?!

I hope you find the trip reports helpful, and I hope you enjoy the pictures. As always, drop me an e-mail if you have any questions or suggestions. I'm always willing to help you find a good trail!

You can also read my Colorado trail journal from many of the hikes I took when I lived in Denver.
