On 14 Sep 06, I decided to take a much needed day off from work and head out to the trail. I
wanted to hike Naturalist Basin in the Uintas, but the weather was really nice down low, and a
little iffy up high in the Uintas. So I headed to Causey Reservoir (Google Map) about 30
minutes from the house. It was actually a really nice hike (until the 40 kids on a field trip came
down the trail on my way out...). The most interesting thing on this trail was the salmon run
going up the Ogden River on the back end of the lake. I didn't even know there were salmon
out here, and then I see them in a traffic jam running the river. But the trail was very relaxing
and it was a nice place to go for a mid-week hike.
