On Feb 26, 2006, Tracy and I hiked the White Rock Bay Loop (Google Map) at Antelope Island

State Park.  This was a great winter day for hiking at a low elevation.  The high was about 55

degrees, and the sun was out most of the day.  We got good sunburns because Antelope

Island is totally grass, with no tree cover at all.  The trail is really nice, especially since it's only

10 minutes from our house.  The loop is about 9 miles, and it didn't start getting busy until after

noon, when a lot of horse back riders and bikers started getting out.  It's a nice trail, though.

We saw bison, coyotes and antelope.  You can't beat that for a trail 10 minutes from your front

door.
