The weekend of 19 Jun 10, Tracy and I made our annual pilgrimage up to the Stillwater Creek
Trail (Google Map). We hit the trail on Saturday morning, and soon decided that we would like
to try to get across Ostler Creek rather than climb up to Amethyst Basin. Once we got to
Ostler, though, once again it was too high to risk crossing it. We spent a couple of hours trying
to find a way to get across it without being swept over the waterfall, but there just wasn't a
good place. We then backtracked down the trail to a campsite we had used a couple of years
earlier. It was pretty early in the day, though, so we just laid down and took a nap. We woke
up an hour or so later, and decided that we would just head back home. We finally saw a
moose on the way back to the car, which was the only moose we saw that day.
