The weekend of 24 Apr 09, Tracy and I headed out to Durango, CO, to do some hiking in the

Weminuche Wilderness.  We've never really hiked in the Weminuche, and I really wanted to go

on a road trip.  I had been out of town at training for over 9 weeks this year, and I just wanted

to get on the road.  I also wanted to see a friend of mine who lives in Durango.  So Tracy

picked me up at the airport and we headed towards southern Colorado.  We had never really

hung out in Durango, and we really liked the town.  We even hiked at the Vallecito Creek Trail

(Google Map) in the Weminuche Wilderness.  That's one thing we like better about Colorado:

we couldn't have gone anywhere near the Uintas this early in the year.  Anyway, it was nice to

get on the road, it was nice to see my friend, and it was nice to get on the trail in Colorado.
