The weekend of 12 Dec 08, Tracy and I headed down to southern Utah. I planned to check
out a few out of the way places reaching from Green River all the way down to Halls Crossing.
However, we found some really nice stuff outside of Moab and Green River, and we spent the
entire weekend in the same general area. This was a good thing, though, because I
developed a new appreciation for the Moab area. We had always seemed to be in Moab when
it was crowded, but this weekend we got to find the remote places that were really nice. We
found a lot of slickrock, some 4x4 driving on sand dunes, some dinosaur fossils, and some
great views. There are still lots of places I want to check out here, and I want to do some
mountain biking here. So now I've got new plans for the winter! I also got a video of a desert
bighorn sheep running.
