The weekend of 6 Apr 07, Tracy and I decided to hike around Moab.  After getting into town, however,

we realized it was the annual Jeep weekend, and there were thousands of people in and around Moab.

So, we decided to just head off and explore roads we hadn't checked out before...after all, I wanted to

find out where Les Stroud filmed the Survivorman episode near Moab!  We checked out all kinds of

great places around Canyonlands National Park, as well as some nice BLM areas around Canyonlands.

We didn't really find any good backcountry slickrock areas like where Les was, but that was really

because we couldn't get anywhere near Moab itself.  We did, however, pretty much explore most

everything south and north of Moab, so I feel pretty good about that.  Now we just need to check out

the slickrock stuff closer into town.
